Super polite staff and clean rooms. This is the North Woods of Maine, one shouldn't expect a Ritz Carlton. It's a great place to sleep and clean up between forees into Baxter. Will happily stay again.

Would not stay here again. Breakfast was bad. Rollaway bed terrible. No cellular reception. Limited WiFi. Only one bad restaurant within miles.
Very hospitable, accommodating down to earth staff. Convenient location too. The lighting not bright & the shower knob wasn't user friendly, but my companions said there rooms lighting & showers were working fine. However i will go back when the opportunity's arise & will be recommending it to others.
The Gateway has been a place of rest after along days on the mountain for many years, very clean facility,Great people with a smiling happy way about them Gail greated us with a smile after the long day, don't get that at the end of the day where people don't like their job. The morning folks are just as pleasant. Worth the stop, reasonable rates too.
